Music as a societal force; What is the impact of music on society and what roles does it play in the politics that affect our lives? Cabaret Politico is an evening of stirring new chamber music and song, set amid a politically-charged vaudevillian review that blurs boundaries life between theatre. Cabaret Politico takes inspiration from a historic anomaly in 1979, when the RTZ Mining Company (now called Rio Tinto) attempted to mine uranium from the scenic shores of Scotland’s Orkney Islands.
